The late Haji Sheikh Bashir Ahmed was the company’s main icon, shaping it into what it is today. He had very high aspirations & wanted this ancestral business to reach great heights of success & recognition. He wanted to explore both national & international markets. He began this journey by working in different states & then countries. In addition to his regular visits to his customers, he organised a lot of events & shows at the domestic & international levels.

The lines on his forehead are more than just reminder of his age & experience. Each line tells the story of a man who believed in honesty & righteousness. Late Haji Sheikh Bashir Ahmed’s life revolved around Kashmir handicrafts, especially “Pashmina.” in Bashir Ji own words,

“My Art Is My Own Expression, My Story Is My Alone, But It’s Not For Me Alone”.

There is an urge to communicate, to pass on a heritage, an unconscious search for some sort of bonding of thoughts and ideas, and of course to make his conviction gain interminably. Looks like the road from Kashmir led only to Chandigarh as far as Bashir ji is concerned.

To realise his dreams, his two sons, Sheikh Abdul Rouf, Sheikh Adil & the entire team associated with Albasir have taken the company to great heights. They are having the same passion, hard work, & innovative ideas, has brought the company to its peak.

Albasir Industries Pvt Ltd has an international reputation, i.e., is engaged in the manufacture of all Kashmiri arts such as Shawls, Carpets, Suits & Sarees, Handicrafts, Garments, Furnishings, Fashion Accessories & Gourmet Foods.
